Privacy & Terms
Last updated 22 October 2026
JCS Marketing, trading as Good Looking Websites (“we”, “us”), designs and hosts websites for Australian small businesses. This page sets out the terms of our offer, then explains what personal information we collect through goodlookingwebsites.com.au, what we do with it, who else handles it, and your choices.
Terms of our offer
Australian businesses only. Our free homepage concept and our website packages are only available to businesses based in Australia. Requests need an Australian phone number, and we check the country each request comes from. We may decline requests from outside Australia.
- Free concept: free and no obligation. We design your homepage concept and email it to you within 24–48 hours. It’s held for 7 days. Approve it within that time to keep it.
- Setup: from $499, one-off, paid once you approve your concept. It covers a single-page site, designed and built, that works on phones, tablets and computers, with a contact form or click-to-call, one consolidated round of revisions, and launch on your domain.
- Extra pages and features: available as add-ons, quoted up front before you commit. New pages, sections or features are quoted separately.
- Monthly plan: $70 a month, starting at launch, with a 12-month minimum. It covers hosting and security updates, maintenance and backups, and one update request per month of up to 15 minutes, for changes to existing text and images. Extra time beyond 15 minutes is quoted before we start, and unused time doesn’t roll over.
- Timing: content and feedback need to be finalised within 30 days of approving your concept. Your site goes live within 7 days of content sign-off.
- Ownership: it’s all yours.
- Cancelling: 14 days’ notice. Cancelling within the first 12 months means paying the balance of that period.
- Prices: all prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST.
Privacy
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. The sections below explain what we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you ask for a free homepage concept, our form collects:
- About you: your first and last name, email address and phone number.
- About your business: its name, whether you already have a website or domain, your website or domain address (or ideas for one), links to your business’s social profiles (such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube or Google Business Profile) if you give them, the type of business, what you do, who your customers are, where you work, how many pages you need, your main goal and when you’d like to go live.
- Your design preferences: the example site you pick as inspiration, other sites you like, and your choices for light or dark, layout, fonts, colours and overall feel.
- Files and notes: any logos or photos you upload, and anything you add in the notes.
- Technical details sent with your request: your IP address and browser details, which our form stores with your entry to help us spot spam.
To design your concept we may also look at your current website and social pages. We only use what is already public.
We also collect information about how people use our site, as explained under Analytics and advertising.
We don’t ask for payment details through this website.
How we use it
- To design your free homepage concept and send it to you.
- To contact you about your concept by email, phone or text message, and to answer your questions.
- If you go ahead: to build, launch, host and look after your website, and to send you invoices.
- To keep our site and form secure and free of spam.
- To understand which pages and ads bring people to us, so we can improve them.
We don’t sell your personal information. We won’t send you marketing beyond follow-ups about your own concept unless you agree to it.
Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager to run Google Analytics 4. It records which pages you visit, what you click, when you start or send our form, how you found us (including the campaign tags on the link you arrived from) and general details such as your device, browser and approximate location. It uses cookies to tell visits apart. We use these reports in aggregate to see what works.
Meta Pixel. We use the Meta Pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. It tells Meta which of our pages you viewed and when you send our form, along with your IP address and browser details, and it uses a cookie to recognise your browser. We don’t send Meta the details you type into our form. Meta may use this information under its own privacy policy, and you can control how it’s used for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
To opt out of Google Analytics on any website, you can use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies and browser storage
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Tells visits apart so we can count visitors and see how the site is used. | Up to 2 years |
_fbp | Meta Pixel | Recognises your browser so Meta can measure our ads. | About 90 days |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Helps protect the site from bots. Holds no personal details. | 30 minutes |
| Form progress | Our concept form | Saves your answers in your own browser as you move between the form’s steps, so you can pick up where you left off. It isn’t sent to us until you press send. | Until you send the form or clear your browser data |
The analytics and advertising cookies aren’t needed for the site to work. You can block or delete them in your browser settings and everything still works.
Who else handles your information
We use trusted providers to run the site and our business. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job:
- WPStaq hosts our website and stores form entries and uploaded files, on servers in Sydney, Australia.
- Cloudflare protects and speeds up the site, so it sees your IP address and browser details. It also tells us which country you’re visiting from, which we use to check our offer (for Australian businesses only) applies to you.
- Pabbly Connect passes your form details to our customer relationship management (CRM) system, where we keep track of concepts and clients.
- Our email provider delivers a copy of each form entry to our inbox, and carries our emails to you.
- Google runs Tag Manager and Analytics, and supplies one of our fonts.
- Adobe Fonts supplies our main font. Your browser contacts Adobe to load it. Adobe Fonts doesn’t set cookies.
- Meta measures our ads, as described above.
Example previews. When you open a live preview of one of the sites we’ve built, your browser loads that site’s images, styles and fonts from its own web address, so that business’s web host sees your IP address and browser details. We remove those sites’ analytics and advertising tags from our previews, so opening one doesn’t add you to their tracking.
Some of these providers (including Google, Meta, Cloudflare, Adobe and Pabbly) are based in, or store information in, the United States, India and other countries. We choose established providers with strong security. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Concept requests you don’t go ahead with are kept for up to 12 months, so we can follow up and answer questions, then deleted.
- Client details are kept while we look after your website, and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep business and tax records.
- Analytics data is kept in Google Analytics on the retention schedule set in our account, and used in aggregate reports.
You can ask us to delete your details sooner, as explained below.
Keeping it safe
Our site uses encryption (HTTPS) for everything you send. Form entries and files are stored behind password-protected accounts, and only the people who need them can see them.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your concept request and your details. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it’s you first.
Complaints
If you’re worried about how we’ve handled your information, email [email protected]. We’ll look into it and reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this page
We’ll update this page when our offer or what we do with your information changes, and change the date at the top. The terms that apply to you are the ones on this page when you approve your concept.
